Important Recital Information

Location, Date & Time

Location: Seminole High School
Auditorium, (Karen W. Coleman Performing Arts Center)

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025

Time: Doors will open at 11:30am with Show One of the recitals beginning at 12pm. Show Two of the recital will begin at 3pm. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your
show, dressed in your costume including hair and makeup complete.

Dress Rehearsal

The dress rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, June 6th, 1pm-6pm. Please plan on arriving 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled time in costume including complete hair and makeup. The dress rehearsal schedule to follow.

Ticket Info

Ticket - Wristband sales - sales start Monday, May 5th, cost is $25 for one show, $35 for both shows.  May be purchased in the studio office, payment by credit card on file, check or cash.  EVERYONE entering the venue must have on a wristband excluding the dancers and children under age 3 years old.  Wristbands will be available the day of the show for $30 per show or $40 for both shows.  CASH OR VENMO ONLY!  The show order is posted.  This will let you know which show(s) your dancer will be in and subsequently, which show(s) you will need tickets for.

Picture Day Information

Recital pictures will be taken on Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30 at the studio. Our photographer is Aspire Multimedia Photography.  You must register your dancer(s) at the Aspire photo table on picture day. Your dancer will be checked in with a facial recognition app and matched up to parents information (email/text) provided by the studio.  No payment is required on picture day. Everything is ordered online after the photos are uploaded to the ordering site. Detailed information from Aspire Photography to follow. Plan on arriving approximately 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time, dressed including hair and makeup. All
classes will have a group picture taken. If you are interested in having an individual picture (one pose) of your dancer taken, please let the office know no later than May 14th. This will allow us to provide the necessary time in the schedule for the overall class group and individual photos.

 

*COMPANY Picture Details: Those wishing to have solo, duet, trio or sibling (dancer siblings) pictures taken MUST sign up in the office with the name of the solo, duet or trio. Sibling pictures need to include what costume will be worn. There will only be 3 poses MAXIMUM taken. If you haven’t signed up for a time slot to be allotted, no picture will be taken. The deadline for signing up is no later than Wednesday, May 14th. No exceptions! This allows for a more accurate schedule to insure we stay on time.

Ads can be purchased for inclusion in the program.  The program size will be

8 ½ x 5 ½.

o Full page ad - $100

o Half page ad - $50

o Quarter page ad - $25

o Shout out ad $5 (100 characters maximum)

Costume Details

Per Style 

  • Tiny Dance classes – pink tights, pink ballet shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low bun; makeup – light makeup for the stage with a dark pink lipstick. 

  • Ballet classes – pink tights, pink ballet shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low bun.

  • Pointe classes – pink tights, pointe shoes with ribbons; hair – side part over the right eye in a low bun.

  • Mini Jazz class - black jazz shoes; hair - side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail.

  • Jazz (Jr and Tn/Sr) classes – pirouettes or twylas for shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail.

  • Contemporary classes – pirouettes or twylas for shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail.  

  • Musical Theatre classes – tan character heel shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail.

  • Tap classes – black lace up tap flats; hair – side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail.

  • Hip Hop classes – white tennis shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail.

  • Acro classes – no shoes; hair – side part over the right eye in a low straight ponytail

Stage Makeup (for all classes except Tiny Dance) – foundation, powder, pink blush, neutral color eye shadow, black eyeliner (upper lid only), black mascara, eyelashes, Maybelline superstay matte ink lipcolor 50 Voyager.

Additional Recital FAQ's

    1. Question: How many shows are there? 

    We will have two shows! Doors will open at 11:30am with Show One of the recitals beginning at 12pm.   Show Two of the recitals will begin at 3pm. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of  your show, dressed in your costume including hair and makeup complete.

    

    2. Question: How long is the show? 

    Shows are approximately 1 1/2 hours in length.

    3. Question: What time do doors open? 

    Doors will open approximately 1/2 hour before show-time. Dancers can arrive 1 hour before their             scheduled show time.

    4. Question: Where do I park? Is parking free? 

    There is parking located on site. Yes! Parking is free.

   

    5. Question: How do we purchase tickets for the show? Are there assigned seats? 

    Tickets can be pre-ordered through the form above or purchased day of at the venue. No assigned      seats. 

   

    6. Question: Is handicapped seating available? 

    Yes! Handicapped seating is available throughout the auditorium.

   

    7. Question: Does my dancer that is in the show need a ticket/seat for the recital? 

    No, they will be allowed to sit with parents once finished performing.

    8. Question: Does my child under 3 need a ticket?

    No, children under 3 do NOT need a ticket.

   

    9. Question: Will there be concessions?

    Yes! Concessions will be available for purchase, cash or Venmo only please! Outside food and                  drinks are not allowed inside the auditorium.

    10. Question: Will there be a raffle/lottery?

    Yes! The day of the recital, the studio will be selling lottery tickets for $1 each (cash only). Tickets          will be sold before each show and throughout intermission. During the second act of each show, a        winner will be announced and the proceeds from the lottery will be split between the studio and            the announced winners! (There will be a winner during each show.) Winners need to be in                            attendance.
