About Ms. Gaby
Gaby has been dancing since the age of four and began receiving her dance training at University Performing Arts Centre. At the age of 13, Gaby realized her life’s purpose and heart’s passion and love for the arts during a dance trip to New York City with the studio. Since then, she has furthered her dance training at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA as a dance major for a couple of years and subsequently attended a 10 month pre-professional dance program, the CLI Conservatory, in western Massachusetts. Gaby has attended multiple dance intensives and workshops throughout her dance journey that have greatly inspired her and her artistry, have fueled her passion, and broadened her horizons such as Joffrey Ballet School’s Jazz and Contemporary summer intensive and Entity Contemporary Dance’s intensives.
Currently, Gaby continues to gain new and diverse experiences in her life and art to continue unfolding as a person and artist. She is currently attending Valencia College to explore an interest of hers - lighting design for live entertainment, like for dance and theatre performances - and has recently joined the company of Free Movement Society, an Orlando-based, all-styles dance company. Gaby is very excited to be teaching at KDF this season! She hopes to create a positive and safe space for students to explore, play, be challenged, and grow, but most importantly, for them to show up as themselves, be themselves, and express themselves and their unique voices through dance freely, authentically, and unapologetically!
