What does a Lyrical/Contemporary class at KDF look like?
Lyrical/Contemporary is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. Your dancer will learn to interpret movement with feeling, motion and style. This class combines the fluid beauty of ballet with the sharp moves of jazz. You become the story through dancing and create the picture of the song.
What ages is Lyrical/Contemporary for, and which day does it meet?
KDF offers Lyrical/Contemporary for two age groups. Petite/Junior (ages 7-12) meets Wednesday, and Teen/Senior (ages 13-18) meets Thursday. Mini dancers ages 4-6 start with Jazz/Lyrical on Thursday. Each class meets once a week, and dancers can combine styles and start any time when a class has space. See the class schedule PDF for class times.
