Dancers learn the newest movements and styles you see in music videos and professional performances. The class balances fun and technique, building rhythm, confidence, and swagger in a supportive environment.
What ages is Hip Hop for, and which days do classes meet?
Hip Hop is offered for every age group from Mini (ages 4-6) through Teen/Senior (ages 13-18). All Hip Hop classes meet on Monday. See the class schedule PDF for specific class times. Families from Winter Springs, Oviedo, Casselberry and nearby bring their dancers to KDF.
Who teaches Hip Hop at KDF?
Gaby Perez teaches Hip Hop for all age levels, Mini through Teen/Senior. Gaby is a Point Park University dance major trained at the CLI Conservatory pre-professional program, and brings that training and a passion for creating an inclusive space for Hip Hop learners.
What should my dancer wear to Hip Hop?
Wear comfortable clothes that are not too baggy, clean sneakers or booties, and have hair neatly secured away from the face. The dress code is the same for every Hip Hop age group, Mini through Teen/Senior. See the full dress code for details.
Is Hip Hop good for a beginner or a shy kid?
Hip Hop at KDF is offered for every age group, and placement is by age group. Teachers may recommend moving a dancer up or down based on their experience. Every class is open to boys and girls, and a free trial is the best way to see if your dancer feels at home.
Can my child take Hip Hop with another style?
