About Ms. Kimmie
Kimmie Louwsma Gehr is the Owner and Artistic Director of Kinetic Dance Force. With 20+ years of teaching experience at various dance studios, Kimmie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role. She began dancing at the age of 3 in Sanford, Florida, and was a Dazzler at Seminole High School under Maureen Maguire's direction.
At 18, Kimmie moved to New York City and became a Radio City Rockette, performing for 10 years. She joined the National Tour of The Mel Brooks musical, "The Producers," for 3.5 years, concluding her tour in Tokyo, Japan. Kimmie also performed in "The Producers" in Las Vegas alongside David Hasselhoff and Tony Danza. While in New York, she continued her training at renowned studios like STEPS and Broadway Dance Center.
Kimmie has judged numerous dance and dance team competitions, and her choreography has received accolades over the years. Her love and passion for dance and teaching have inspired many students to grow as dancers and individuals, forming lifelong bonds along the way.
Beyond dance, Kimmie's pride and joy is her son Garner and partner Tina. She is thrilled to make KDF a reality with the support of her parents, friends, and family. Kimmie looks forward to sharing her gift and love of dance with the Kinetic Dance Force students.
